Scientific conference with the international participation, dedicated to the Science Day, "THE CONTRIBUTION OF YOUNG PROFESSIONALS TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF MEDICAL SCIENCE AND PRACTICE" 15th May 2014, Kharkov Ukraine
We are proud to announce the scientific conference of young scientists with the international participation, dedicated to the Science Day in Ukraine that is scheduled to take place May 15, 2014 at the GI “L.T. Malaya National Therapy Institute of the National academy of medical sciences of Ukraine”. The conference program will include the symposium "From nutrition to healthy lifestyle: a view of young scientists" dedicated to the 169th anniversary of the I.I. Mechnikov.
These conference and symposium are opened to all qualified young scientists and professionals under the age of 35 who are actively involved in basic and applied research in various fields of modern medicine: medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, oncology, oncogynaecology, medical radiology, neurology and psychiatry, dermatology, venereology, orthopedics and traumatology, pediatrics, infectious diseases and microbiology, endocrinology, otolaryngology, dentistry, clinical pharmacology and pharmacotherapy, pathophysiology, pathomorphism .
The conference is registered in the Ukrainian Institute of Scientific, Technical and Economic Information by number 709 from October 11, 2013.
Forms of participation in the conference: oral presentation and abstact publication, poster presentation and abstract publication, and abstract publication. Conference languages - Ukrainian , Russian and English.
In order to participate you should submit an application according to the proposed registration form and abstract to be published in the conference by email to: molodi.vcheni@yandex.ua . All documents should be sent until April 28, 2014. Having submitted your materials you are recommended be ensure that your documents are received.
Participation in conference, conference programme, background documents, registration information and poster submission are free.
Requirements for published work (abstract)
- Submitted abstracts should contain only original material not published and not submitted elsewhere prior.
- One author can publish only one or two abstracts in collaboration.
- Structure of the abstract is required to include the purpose and objectives of the study, materials and methods, results and conclusions.
- All abbreviations (except units of measurement) can be used only after mentioning the full term.
- Abstract text limited up to 1 page.
- Abstract should be printed in MS Word, A4 with margins on all sides 25 mm, Times New Roman, font size 14, normal, line spacing - one space .
The structure of the abstract: abstract title in capital letters, authors’ last names and initials and full title of the institution in italic, and text work.
WARNING! The Committee reserves the right to refuse the publication if the submitted abstract do not meet the given requirements. In this case the author will be notified. That is author who is fully responsible for the abstract content. Abstracts are published without revision and edition!
Requirements for oral presentation:
- Oral presentation must not exceed 7 minutes. Multimedia support will be provided.
- Discussion of the presented problem - to 7 minutes.
WARNING! Authors, selected by committee for the oral presentation, will be informed and will receive an invitation to the April 28, 2014.
Requirements for the poster:
- Poster should not exceed 100x150 cm (it can be presented in several smaller format sheets).
- Poster presentation must include research purpose and objectives, materials and methods, results and conclusions.
- All abbreviations (except units of measurement) can be used only after mentioning of the full term.
- Title: the first line (or several lines if needed) – abstract title in capital letters, the second – authors’ surname(s) with initials and the third line – the full title of the institution, and the fourth line – department; fifth line – head’s of the department surname with initials, the sixth line – scientific supervisor’s surname with initials, text of the report .
- Poster can contain illustrations.
- Text font must be at least 20 pt.
- Poster should be mounted in the lobby conference room.
The conference program includes the Symposium “From nutrition to a healthy lifestyle: a view of young scientists” and award for the best oral and poster presentations. The nominees will be awarded with souvenirs and recognition gifts.
Transportation, accommodation and meals are not covered by the Organizning Commetee and should be paid by participants themselves. The Organinzing Committee will assist the reservation at Kharkiv hotels after request.
